Typography is when we make written language legible, readable, and appealing to our target audience. This includes font, size, and letter spacing.
In this example, the Apple logo is displayed in words (the spacing arranges it to look like the logo/brand, presumably for decoration), with words that are related to the Apple company, featuring, for example, iPod, Mac, dashboard, etc. Apple itself has the biggest size because it is the company name. Sans Serif font was the choice I made for my magazine, as serif fonts were distracting.
A popular font type is Sans Serif. Sans literally means without, while a Serif is when you finish a stroke of a letter in a certain typeface (font). San Serif is often used to show signs of professionalism or business, like a letterhead. Serif is used for similar reasons, with a different effect- it is easier to read, with implications of informality. Below is an example of a script font. The below could be used to make a letter or message personalized, such as a wedding invitation. This is possible because it appears handwritten, and from this, text can be more direct in its address.
